There is a requirement of several documents for the LMPC license for the manufacturer, dealer, and packer of the commodity. All the documents which are required for the license or the renewal of a license are prescribed under the act. The applicant has to submit the documents in compliance with the act. The Legal Metrology officer will inspect all the documents of the applicant and thereafter decide whether to provide the license or to renew the license of the manufacturer or dealer of the commodity. In any case, if the controller of the legal metrology finds that the declaration made under the application form, or the information provided in the documents is untrue or incorrect, then it may lead to the cancellation of the license of the packer, manufacturer, or dealer of the commodity or the rejection of the application for the renewal or a fresh license of the manufacturer, packer, or dealer of the commodity.
